'You-nification' is a word I created that implies you are living a life that is aligned with who you want to be, how you want to be and where you want to be.
Let's look at who you want to be first...
I sometimes ask clients to think about a statement that is clear and concise and sums them up perfectly. I had a client work through that today, in fact, and he landed on "I educate, develop and inspire".
It is easy to see how this statement clearly answers the first question...who you want to be. The cool part about this is that once you have established 'who' you want to be you can begin to identify which parts of your life require some subtle adjustment and then put in a plan that will begin your journey and take you to exactly where you want to be.
The second question relates to how you want to be. To simplify, what emotions do you want to experience and what particular emotions are you interested in changing or substituting completely because they no longer serve or align with whom you want to be? (I find it helpful categorizing my emotions into warning and rewarding ones so that I can be clear about which emotions to give priority to.)
This is a big decision and generally will require some reflection as the idea is to align more and more proactive behaviours with your interpretation of who you want to be and how you want to be.
The final question relates to where you want to go and this is the natural extension of being able to feel truly aligned and 'you-nified'. People who are clear about who they want to be and how they want to be are already clarifying to a certain extent where they will end up as the destination becomes the combined synergy of the other two questions.
For example, if I want to be a happy and inspiring person then it makes complete sense to align my career, relationship, health and financial choices to deliver happiness and inspiration.
Being conscious of those states will also assist me in making the right decisions in other areas of my life.
Simple really...
