I hear this phrase quite regularly at this time of year and of course, it is referring to the impending end of the year and literally wrapping everything up (presents included) ready for the start of the new year.
It has a "vibe" of satisfactory completion about it...
It's a wrap for me too in the sense that over the year our business has delivered some really cool stuff and maintained a strong commitment to our purpose (Co-creating individual and business success) and our values (people, passion, and performance) as well as being a self-supporting business for 36 years.
I am so proud of that fact and grateful as well.
The proud bit is somewhat obvious and I thought that I would clarify the grateful bit some more.
I am grateful to live in this country and be able to run this business, I am grateful for my way of life, I am grateful for the people I have in my life, I am grateful to be healthy and have a medicare system to protect those less fortunate, I am grateful for being aware that I am indeed fortunate, I am grateful to live in a serene, peaceful and healthy environment, I am grateful for our democratic way of life...I think you get the idea.
So hopefully you have had a year worth wrapping and that you too are grateful and realize just how fortunate you are to live in Australia and in a society as egalitarian as ours.
So, moving into 2023 practice being grateful and acknowledging the good things in your world as opposed to only voicing an opinion when you are unhappy or disappointed.
Be prepared to 'wrap up' someone or something because you are grateful for the positive impact it has had on you.
Now, that's a wrap :)
